True to its name, Linea's linear upholstery design is inspired by the 1950's modernist movement. At first glance, Linea may seem to prescribe a straight-up seating angle. However, the outer wood frame is cleverly engineered with a degree of backward angle, adding the just the right amount of tilt to your seated posture. This, combined with the soft, low profile full-length interior cushion provides a surprisingly comfortable lounging experience, making Linea the embodiment of style and substance.
Casual, Formal and Everything In-Between
Woodrow Linea looks amazing from the front, back, and sides, making it an exceptional choice for defining or dividing up larger spaces. Its American Walnut full-wood frame brings a natural, organic and warm feel to any room while adding a sense of sophistication to its Mid Century Modern-inspired design.
Tall, spindle legs keep the Woodrow Linea sofa elevated high above the ground. Using traditional wood joinery, leather stitching & tufting methods, Woodrow Linea's construction is as appealing today as it would have been in the mid-20th century. Woodrow is upholstered in a selection fine Aniline leathers and durable fabrics. Because of its high style and functionality, this widely recognized modernist sofa style is frequently used as occasional seating in both casual and formal settings.
ABOUT TOP GRAIN NUBUCK LEATHER
Italian Nubuck is traditional Top Grain Full Aniline leather - only softer to the touch. It is created by hand-brushing top grain Italian leather to give it a slightly velvety feel and look. Nubuck leather is liquid dyed for deep rich coloring and a consistent matte finish. Considering its labor intensive hide preparation, Nubuck has a history of being associated with fashionable figures and aristocracy. Without topical colors and sealers the leather touches, expands, contracts and breathes naturally. Through age and use, the leather will develop a warm surface sheen known as “patina”. It’s the patina that gives the furniture it’s comforting, vintage look.
ABOUT AMERICAN WALNUT
Hold the stain. American Walnut has its own natural brown color tones. The natural wood presents lighter and darker tones within the various grains. Blends well with light or darker wood pieces.
